Travel Series: My Favourite Parisien Eats!

Updated: Dec 25, 2021

A trip isn't complete without scrumptious food. To me travelling is mainly about trying the food that another country has to offer ( coming from a foodie). Paris and France in general is filled with tasty treats and exquisite food. Here are my Top 5 Favourite Food Experiences.

#1 French Macarons

1) Pierre Hermé (my fav!)

2) Mc Donalds- yes Mc Donalds in Paris has macarons. Its worth a try!

3) Ladurée

#2 A Homemade French Croissant

A big thank you to the owners of L'ardoise on Rue de Bassano for their amazing hospitality and for opening early just for us so we could experience their traditional homemade croissants.

Served with swiss cheese and ham and a piping hot americano.

I've had many croissants in my life, but nothing compared to this one!

#3 Visiting French Bakeries

1)Du Pain Et Des Idees - Rum and Raisin Snail Pastry

2) Hugo & Victor - Kings Cake ( a traditional cake that back in the day had a surprise inside the cake!)

3) Hugo & Victor - Pastries

#4 Dinner at Le Train Bleu

At the end of our trip was our dinner at le train bleu. This restaurant not only serves exquisite gourmet food but the interior is worth the every penny of dining here. Cool fact, the restaurant is located inside a train station hence the name.

If your looking on spending your money on atleast one high end dinner then I definitely suggest here.

#5 Le Cordon Bleu Wine and Food Pairing

One of my favourite experiences in Paris was at the most famous culinary school in the world. A culinary student's dream. This wine and food pairing had a wine sommelier to guide you through the evening explaining the origin and flavours of the wines and the connection it had to the first class food prepared by the chefs.

Bonus: You are awarded a certifcate from Le Cordon Bleu from your wine and food tasting/pairing evening.

More Favourites!

1) Craving Hot Pot in Paris? Shujiuxiang is where it's at. Would love to go back.

2) Ever been to a restaurant that only serves ceviched food? La Cevecheria serves up fresh and tangy flavours that will have you eating more.

3) Wanting some bubble tea? Doriimu is a cute bubble tea shop with a floral wall to capture great pics.
